What it is

What is shockwave therapy?

Shockwave therapy, also called extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) or acoustic wave therapy, sends pulses of acoustic pressure waves through the skin into injured tissue. It is used to increase blood flow and restart the body's repair response in tendons and soft tissue that have stopped healing on their own.

It is non-invasive, with no needles, no medication and very little downtime. You can go about your day afterward; just avoid high-impact activity, such as running or jumping, for 24 hours.

At Life Chiropractic, shockwave is part of a larger plan. Dr. Golden combines it with his background in rehab and nutrition, and with chiropractic care when it helps, to get you moving and keep you moving.
