Sports chiropractic · Downtown Missoula
Sports chiropractor in Missoula.
From weekend warriors to the pros: chiropractic care, myofascial work and shockwave therapy to help you train, compete and recover. Dr. Austin Davis is the official chiropractor of the Missoula PaddleHeads.

Our approach
Move well, recover well.
Every stride, swing and lift starts in your nervous system. When your spine moves well and that communication is clear, your body can coordinate, adapt and recover the way it's designed to.
Sports chiropractic at Life Chiropractic looks at how you move, not only where it hurts. Care is built around your sport and your goals, whether that's a season with the PaddleHeads, a trail race, a ski season or getting an elk out of the backcountry.
Two doctors, one plan
Dr. Austin Davis is the official chiropractor of the Missoula PaddleHeads, was the official chiropractor for the Italian Luna Rossa team in the America's Cup, and has cared for professional athletes across the country. A serious sports neck injury of his own is what led him to chiropractic.
Dr. Coltin Golden is a military veteran with expertise in rehab and nutrition. He offers myofascial work and shockwave therapy for stubborn tendon pain.

Common questions
Sports chiropractic FAQ.
Do I need to be injured to come in?
No. Many athletes come in to move better, train consistently and recover faster between efforts, not only when something hurts.
Do you see young athletes?
Yes. We see athletes of every age, from youth sports through masters competitors. Adjustments are adapted to each athlete's age and size.
Can I combine chiropractic care with shockwave therapy?
Yes. Dr. Golden often pairs shockwave therapy with chiropractic care and rehab exercises for stubborn tendon problems such as tennis elbow, Achilles pain and plantar fasciitis.
What is myofascial work?
Hands-on work on the muscles and the connective tissue (fascia) around them, used to ease tightness and help you move more freely. Dr. Golden offers it alongside chiropractic care.
How soon can I get back to my sport?
It depends on the problem and on your sport. Your doctor will give you a plan after your exam, including what to keep doing in the meantime.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes, we work with insurance. Call or text us with questions about your plan.
